I’m a product design leader specializing in 0-to-1 innovation, design x AI and new interaction paradigms.
I have 20+ years of experience and a background in user-centered design, interaction design/HCI, and economics. I’m highly skilled in product strategy, user experience design, and people management.
In my most recent role as Executive Design Director at IDEO, I led multidisciplinary teams to design and launch breakthrough products and services at the intersection of UX and emerging technologies for Fortune 500 companies and startups. Additionally, as co-lead of the Products & Services group (a team of 50+ multidisciplinary designers across the US), I was responsible for fostering a creative design culture, implementing new systems and rituals to improve efficiency, sharing best practices, and making key hiring decisions.
Prior to IDEO, I designed future mobility experiences in-house with BMW, developed novel music creator tools with ROLI, invented new interfaces at the MIT Media Lab, and shaped what’s next for global brands at Native Design.
In-market impact includes:
- Launching an AI powered product for Abbott
- Co-creating product features for Fitbit
- Inventing differentiating IP for Ford
- Inspiring cross-functional collaboration for Google
- Launching UX at scale for IKEA
- Influencing multi-year product strategy for Meta
- Designing user-centric new offerings for Samsung
Throughout my career, my work has resulted in several UK and US patents for interaction and interface design and has been recognized by Core 77 Design Awards, the iF Design Award, Innovation by Design, CES Innovation Award, the Design Museum London, Salone del Mobile Milan, Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Étienne, Design Week, The Guardian, and others.
I bring a unique global design perspective, having studied at six universities across six countries in five languages, and I hold an MA in Design Interactions from the Royal College of Art.
I recharge outdoors and through adventures, including surfing, kite-surfing, biking, hiking, and climbing.
